WHY COMMENTS ARE COOL. The responses to yesterday's post really made me think... And some heart-shaped cookies (or just slice 'n bake chocolate chip ones -- it's me we're talking about) might be hand-delivered to some of our neighbors around Valentine's Day. That's a lot easier than having another baby to get their attention.
I'm feeling a little like Sandra Bullock here lately, y'all. And one of my Love Languages is gifts, and these blog awards are totally like gifts to me, so bear with me while I post them and pass them on.
Thank you, thank you, to Working Mommy at Lessons Learned for this award! To claim this award, I'm supposed to tell you seven things about myself that you may not know. This is a challenge, because I don't have a vault for my own stuff and I don't know that there's anything I haven't already told the world. Plus, I'm watching the "Lost" recap, and I get distracted everytime Sawyer comes on. I love the way they do this, though, because it's totally a Pop-Up Video. Does anyone else remember those? You'd have to be old enough to remember when MTV and VH1 actually aired music videos, though...
So. What seven things might you not know about me?
* The Husband proposed to me after we'd been dating for 24 days. (We'd known each other for 37 days.)
* I don't watch "The Office".
* I had both the girls without an epidural.
* My toenails are always painted. ALWAYS. The only time they see the light of day is when one color is removed in order to make way for another one.
* I make the best grilled cheese sandwiches.

I love Center Stage. I have it on DVD. I have not seen the Notebook either. (nor do I plan to).
In response to your last post... We lived in a neighborhood for 5 years and never got past the nod and occassional wave. I, too, thought it was crazy weird that nobody welcomed us. Very standoffish!!! We live in the country now and I'm ok not meeting the neighbors. Growing up our closest neighbors lived 2 miles away. We were the best of friends and us kids walked to each others house ALL the time. Those days are GONE!!!

I don't even have television... nor do I know what the office is. I've never heard of Center stage either for that matter, but I have seen a lot of movies:)

and horrified at the same time. center stage? really? also. i watch it if it's on. it's a compulsion. i have no idea why i watch it. it's the worst acting ever. but i have to watch it.
I've never heard of Center Stage, but now will have to watch it when I do see it on. Oh The Notebook is the most romantic movie ever - honestly beautiful. But, most of all I want to say, Sawyer is MINE!

So..... Center Stage is awesome. I used to own it on VHS, then my husband threw it out. No Bueno.

Oh, I just love you already...and I see we have many mutal friends. OK..I LOVE center stage, my nails are always done. We should have a grilled chesse cook off...and I LOVE that your hubby proposed in that 1st month-when you know, you know!

Oh man, the gift of an award, the serenade from Spanky, and the fact that you're gonna send me heart shaped sugar cookies with almond flavored frosting, AND that you refuse to watch The Notebook (like me!) pretty much covers up the pain I feel when you continually refuse to watch The Office.
If you watched JUST ONE episode for me I would never tell. I promise.
