Look at me, all linking up now! Confessions From a Working Mom and The (Un)Experienced Mom have started Top Three Thursdays, and I am joining in! What great timing, too, because this week's question is:
What are your Top 3 favorite TV shows?
Since much of my TV time is spent with the crews from Playhouse Disney and Nick Jr., it should be kind of easy to pick 3 shows that I actually get to watch...
1. Friends. Yeah, I know it's older and only on in reruns, but I LOVE it. I will watch any episode any time I am able to catch it on. I love the characters and their dynamics and the humor. I also love the memories I have of watching it with friends on Thursday nights. And I love how you can make a Friends reference in almost any conversation, and most of the people you're talking to will totally get it. The show is a universal bonding tool.
2. Tough Love. I have already said I think that Steve Ward is one smart cookie, and I so wish he'd been around when I was single. Of course, I probably would've just giggled at his accent and developed a crush on him. Anyway, I love this show. I love it because while there are some seemingly hopeless cases (who wants to bet if Taylor's going to be back next season??), there are also those that seem to benefit from their experience -- beyond getting their 15 minutes of fame. Even if they walk away without a match, if they're walking away with better self-esteem and a better idea of how men think, they're a zillion times better off than when they started!
3. Lost. Oh, for the love of Lost. The Husband and I didn't watch the first season, but of course we heard about it. Then Season 2 rolled around and I walked through the living room and he was watching. He was transfixed. I rolled my eyes as I walked by, but then I stopped to ask one question about something I saw. Then another. Then I watched. Then we borrowed Season 1 from a friend to catch up and we haven't missed an episode since.
Oh, the characters! The twists! Are we in the future? The past? A parallel universe? What the crap is going on?! I love the intricate plots and the way they take characters from you and then give them back in a way you're not expecting and ohmygoshwhoamIkidding...
IT'S ALL ABOUT SAWYER!
From the moment he opened his mouth and that accent rolled out just as smooth as his tanned and toned bare chest, there was no turning back. He's a bad boy who likes a good book, he's shown he's got heart, and did I mention he looks pretty good with his shirt off?* Yes? Okay.
Ahem.
So yeah. There you have it. My Top 3 favorite TV shows. Yeah. That's what I was supposed to be writing about...

Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer!!!! I'm right there with you. I have to say this season has me the most confused of any and I am loving it.
So obviously, I watch LOST, I watch The Amazing Race, and I watch Fringe. Those are my current shows. An oldie, but a goodie that I would love to own all the seasons on dvd is The X-Files.
LOVE Friends too, but only the earliers seasons. Never got on the Lost bandwagon and never heard of Tough Love. Have to check that one out.
I LOVE Castle, Desperate Housewives, and Criminal Minds. My list could go on and on though thanks to DVR! ;-)

Friends is my favorite show. I watch it all the time. I'm so happy when other people get my Friends references.

I have never watched Friends or Tough Love....I watched the first season of Lost and it was just not for me =)
I sooooo miss Friends. Wish there was a replacement.

I was a LOST fan once, but after Season 3 I couldn't take the flash backs, flash forwards, back tracks and mind twisters. I couldn't tell if I was coming or going. Great show!
Oh, how I miss Friends!!!
I've never watched Lost. Not even one episode. Though I do watch another j.j. abrams show: Fringe.
I can watch Friends all the live long day too. DH and his sister used to watch that show HABITUALLY, and he can quote just about every episode!

i still watch the reruns of friends and goose makes fun of me... but whatevs. they are awesome.
and LOST!! favorite show even though I have NO IDEA what is going on... like ever. I was more of a Jack girl, but I might be moving to team Sawyer this season =) We shall see.

I was on hold with an airline for two and a half hours (yes, you read correctly) last week... Someone brought up the Friends episode when Phoebe was on hold for days also and then went to the bathroom and someone else hung up the phone... amazing how the show still comes up in conversations!

Your Lost portion could have been written by me. I started in the second season, went back and watched the first on DVD and haven't missed one since. What the crap is what I must have muttered no fewer than 72 times during the last episode. All I can say is thank goodness it's almost over. I can't handle the emotional trauma that Lost causes anymore. I love to hate it.
I loves me some Sawyer. I dig Jack too because I'm slutty like that. My Top 3 are:
1. Lost
2. SATC
3. True Blood
(But those are just my picks for today. Who knows what I would say tomorrow. I'm a tv junkie.)
