I think I need to do this every single morning. I can spend a ton of time concentrating on what I think is wrong with myself -- my appearance, my parenting, my personality, etc., etc., etc., aaaaand etc.
How about I just cut that out?
Because really, I'm not all that bad.
No, I'm not Mrs. America, but as it turns out, apparently my legs are pretty hot. (Reason #374 that the Mom Sexy Prom was awesome.)
No, I'm not going to win Wife Of The Year or anything, but ohmygosh I LOVE The Husband and I am so thankful for him.
No, I'm not going to win Mom Of The Year or anything, but ohmygosh there are days when I just have so much fun dancing with my girls (with the blinds open even!) to The Backyardigans or, prepare yourself, The Fresh Beat Band.
No, I'm not Miss Congeniality, but I have wonderful friends that make me feel loved. Friends I trust, friends that make me want to be a better me.
SO. I'm thinking that this could be a good thing for me to do on a regular basis. Focus more often on what I like. What I like about me. What I like about The Husband. Because those are pretty much the two things that I'm most critical of.
Everyone has their own things, I'm sure.
This is my proposal... I'm thinking that we all need to think more about what we like. Do a little dance in front of our mirrors declaring what we like about ourselves, about the people in our lives, about our lives in general.
So I want to hear what you like. And if I get 50 comments (I'm only counting 1 per person!) with genuine, heartfelt likes -- about your appearance, about your personality, about your spouse, about your parenting -- by Friday, July 2nd, I will do a vlog. And not just any vlog. Did you watch the little girl?

I like the amount of patience I seem to have with my "spirited" 18 month old daughter!
I like the way I cook. There, I said it... I think I can cook pretty good!
And... I like my hair!! People always ask me if it's my real color and I am proud to say "YES!"
What a great idea! I am always so hard on myself... trying to lose that "baby" weight, not having the clothes I want, not keeping my home in superb condition, blah blah blah. But my husband thinks I am pretty awesome, and my daughter thinks I'm pretty awesome, God thinks I'm pretty awesome.... they can't all be wrong!!!! :)
I love this idea! I love that I am confident without being conceited. I love that my husband is that sincere good guy, but amazingly sexy. I love that my daughter is bold and inquisitive. I love how my son smiles with his bright eyes and loves to explore things.

I like reading to my kids in silly voices and making them laugh.
I like being a young mama(almost all of the time).
I love that I have a good relationship with my hubby, that we make each other laugh, and that we take advantage of date nights and our time alone.
I like that I have taught my boys how to say please and thank you... and that they actually do it about 85% of the time.
I like that my boys ask to say their prayers each night- and I always make time to (even if i am totally exhausted and cranky)

I like that I've been friend with you since 6th grade SS! I like that I have such awesome, talented and funny friends like you! I like that I'm pretty awesome, talented and funny, too! I like that I like my hubby after 16 years, and he's my favorite person ever! I like having a big family and I have awesome, talented kids! I secretly like it, even though I act like I don't, when people say I still look like I did in HS, or when they hear that I'm 34 and have 4 kids that they seriously thought I was 20! and I like that I hear it alot...;-)
